Yangkou Scenic Spot is situated in the north-east of Laoshan Mountain Scenic Area. Taiping Palace, the "Palace on the Sea" is hidden in the green bamboo and pine trees. At the top of the Lion Peak, you can admire the wonder of "Sunrise above the Lion Peak" and at the foot of the Lion Peak, you can enjoy the fascinating spectacle of "Clouds hung on the top of the Lion Peak". Mitian Cave, Mount Shangyuan and the biggest character "Shou (long life) " of the world and other attractions are marvelous. Yangkou beach is wide and plane, with fine sand and clear sea water. Tourists enjoy a panoramic view of the beauty of mountain and sea.

Main attractions:

Taiping Palace: It was built in the first year of Jianlong reign of the Song Dynasty (960) after the first emperor of the Song Dynasty Zhao Kuangyin named Laoshan Taoist Liu Ruozhuo the "Aureole Immortal". Its former name was the "Peace and Prosperity Temple", for the auspicious meaning of peaceful world and prosperous country. It was a treasured place for believers to pray for good luck and happiness. The antique bronze bell in the pavilion in the east courtyard was recast in the 18th year of Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty. Every morning when the bell is rung, the resonant bell tone resounds in the quiet valley endlessly, which is called the "Taiping Morning Bell".

Lion Peak: The Lion Peak is named from its look like a strong and powerful lion standing aloof between the mountain and the sea.

"Shou" Peak: A huge rock on the peak is carved with a lot of big and small characters "Shou" to form a magnificent picture of hundred characters "Shou". The biggest "Shou" is 20m high and 16m wide, worthy of the reputation of "the biggest Shou of the world", meaning "long life".

You can drive off the Qingdao-Yinchuan Expressway from the exit of Licun, go along Jiushui East Road and Binhai Road, pass by Yangkou Tunnel and Wanggezhuang till Yangkou Tourist Service Center, then park your car and get into the scenic spot;

You can take No.383, No.620, No.615 or No.926 bus to Yangkou Tourist Service Center;

You can take Metro Line 11 and change to the bus to Yangkou Tourist Service Center.

Numerous strange rocks and caves are hidden under the cliff, for example, the White Dragon Cave recorded in the poem of the famous Taoist Qiu Chuji of the Yuan Dynasty, the Dragon-like Cave where generations of masters practice the Taoism, the White Cloud Cave formed by four rocks named "Green Dragon", "White Tiger", "Vermillion Bird" and "Black Turtle". At the top of the Lion Peak, you can admire the wonder of "Sunrise above the Lion Peak" and at the foot of the Lion Peak, you can enjoy the fascinating spectacle of "Clouds hung on the top of the Lion Peak". In the distance, the golden beach beside the Yangkou Bay looks like a golden new moon radiating colorful light under the blue sea and sky. It is dark and narrow in the Mitian Cave, so please pay attention to safety.
