International Friend Districts

In November 1997, a delegation of Leesao Gu, Soul City, Korea visited Laoshan District and the two parties signed friendly exchange intent. And on November 11, 2002, the two districts mated into friend districts.

In December 1999, the delegation of Laoshan District Government was invited to visit Moscow District, Minsk City, Belarus and met the chairman of Executive Committee of Minsk City (the present Premier of Belarus). The two parties signed friend district agreement.

On October 2002, Qingdao Hi-tech Zone and Brest Hi-tech Park, France mated into friend parks and fixed March 19 as their exchange date.

On September 19, 2003, Qingdao Hi-tech Zone and Heideberg Hi-tech Park , Germany mated into united parks.

On May 16th 2006, Laoshan district of Qingdao established friendly cooperative cities relationship with Columbia city, Missouri State, United States of America.
